Unfortunately due to time constraints and the loss of our banquet venue; the 2011 Vancouver Island Poker Run has been cancelled.
In place of the 2011 Poker Run the organizers have chosen to put on a fun run followed by dinner at Hali & Darren Noble's residence.
The Vancouver Island Poker Run has always been proud to be able to support a local charity from proceeds of our annual poker run. For the past few years, Tour de Rock Cops for Cancer has been our charity of choice.
Well this year we have a friend and fellow poker runner Range Kincaid who is currently waging his own battle against cancer in Calgary, Alberta so we’re going to focus our efforts close to home this year.
We’re going to dedicate this fun day of boating to Range and raise some funds for his family. So, it’s “Range’s Run” and here’s what we’re planning:

The Vancouver Island Poker Run Society is a non-profit organization and it's goal is to support various charitable organizations such as the Tour De Rock, The Sidney Food
Bank and The Boys and Girls Club.
The merchants of the Town of Sidney were extremely generous with their
sponsorships and donations of door prizes at the VIPR Poker Run this year and
this was a fantastic opportunity for all of us to give back to our
community.
A big Thank You to all of you for supporting the Vancouver Island Poker Run! Our 2011 Vancouver Island Poker Run has been cancelled and we will be having a fun run instead. We look forward to seeing you all in 2012!
The Vancouver Island Poker Run always offers the opportunity to reunite with old friends, make new friends and enjoy
cruising through the spectacular Gulf Islands while flexing your marine
muscle. This event has gained tremendous popularity over the past years
and promises a great day of fun in the sun while supporting worthy causes.
Everyone is welcome and you do not need a go fast boat to enjoy this event.
We look forward to seeing you on the water!! |
